Len, it’s my understanding that most therapists usually want to try and resolve such problems now if they can, precisely so future therapists won’t have to. Kinda of a “building a better future for everybody” sort of approach, see.
If the exercise and teamwork are really points you want covered still, perhaps there are other sports or like activities Colin can do instead of baseball which would still accomplish those same goals. For that matter, hasn’t it been previously established that Colin does karate? That would check the exercise box, and probably the teamwork box too.

If you love it so much, Len, then why don’t you join an adult league and let the kid play what sport he wants (other than video games constantly)
