The rousing part near the end was the theme for the Commander Tom after school kid’s show. He had a myna bird on and “Tire Kitty” used to sit on the (warm) tv looking for that bird. A source of amusement for us and Mom. I knew Tom’s boy Dale in grade school and in the 6th grade they had a day where parents could come in and talk about their job. Tom came in and that is the one I remember.
If my dad had come would he talk about the night shift postal worker guy or part time Mr. Ed the bus driver ?

Right now, the new year here in the Midwest is less than 2 hours old and it feels like it’s still 2019. But I hope 2020 is an improvement over 2019. I know I’m facing sadness (probably soon) over Dolly’s cancer but aside from that, I hope my cats (and the pets of the rest of the Graham Crackers) stay healthy through 2020.

Happy New Years to all who were supportive when I had health issues last year. (I was relatively healthy for about four of the twelve months, so I got that going for me). Thanks for those who supported me through the death of my cat Tabby. Although I am about to turn 69, I wonder if it’s fair to adopt a cat now.
