Chesney, I think all of the neighborhood dogs know about you and the warehouse. I know they are dumb, but you will have to come up with a new pitch. How about Squirrel Pay per View? Or a lap, lap, lap pool? Or maybe put some meat in the oven, to create an aromatic draw.
National Fruitcake Toss Day. I didn’t think people tossed fruitcakes. I thought they just saved them to give to someone else the following Christmas after someone gave it to them.
To Egrayjames from yesterday’s comments – actually, I didn’t have to buy any butter to win the VPI contest. The butter we have in 2 packs is salted butter and I always buy unsalted butter (we don’t have unsalted in 2-packs). But because we had the butter featured in an endcap display of our refrigerated sections, it looked like a good choice. Things that are on special display often seem to win. I think it was September 2018 when I got second place with multi-packs of ramen noodles (chicken flavor) because we had this huge stack base full of them and they are so popular with college students. The ramen noodles had won first place in August so that was another reason I chose it for September. But then when I tried picking the same ramen noodles in September 2019, I was way back in the pack – tied for about 19th place with a bunch of other people who had zero points (I don’t know exactly how points are figured) because in 2019, we didn’t have that big display of them. So now, I look for endcap displays and other features when I pick my VPI. I have now won twice and got second place twice (dating back to the middle of 2018 which is when I first started really trying to win the VPI). Each time I got first or second place, it was an item on special display. I got second place once when I chose Sparkle paper towels in the 9-pack.
From yesterday’s comments – tad mentioned seeing seagulls and someone else mentioned that they like flying over Walmart parking lots. Yep – I see them a lot over our Walmart parking lot. Once when I was outside watering plants at work, the seagulls were flying around and a customer told me a funny story about an experience she (or someone she knew – this was a long time ago so I don’t really remember) had with a seagull. This person was eating an ice cream cone outside when suddenly, a seagull swooped down and snatched the ice cream cone right out of the person’s hand. Brazen birds they are!
And the seagulls also love the mall parking lots. Once when I was at the mall’s food court having our once a month lunch with friends, I went to my car to go home and my car was plastered with seagull droppings. But only my car was decorated that way – no droppings on any of the surrounding cars. I don’t know why they picked out my car, but needless to say, I was not pleased with their redecorating.
Those kitties aren’t very smart. Dogs make excellent snuggle buddies on cold days. My barn cat used to sprawl on top of my sleeping St Bernard to stay off the ground and have a very warm and fuzzy bed while they both enjoyed the winter sun.

How much per breath for air ? Those who don’t pay will have to stop breathing and make that last breath of free air last.

Sorry Chesney, but that dog knows better than to fall for your chicanery. On another note, heard a red tailed hawk outside.
