That look on John’s face. I think he just went into shock. Can you just imagine if Elly had been the one to pick them up?

I love this strip :) Some parents find it very difficult to accept the fact that their offspring are growing up.

    “I don’t always kiss Martha like that…

But when I do, it’s to give my Dad the heebie jeebies…

    Stay thirsty, my friends…”

I remember being a teenager; I’d rather DIE than kiss a boyfriend in front of a parent!

Nope. It’s a good comic – but in real life no 13 year old is going to do that in front of his dad.

Hard to think of your children as having adult desires. Conversely, who wants to think about their parents having sex? Ewwwww

    Lynn’s Comments:

There never was a “Martha” in my son’s life even though readers were sure there was. I gave this character the name “Martha” for a friend whose life was in shambles at the time. It was a way of giving her a gift and she enjoyed it very much.

I feel for Lawrence in the back seat having to watch Michael kiss his old girlfriend. Even if you are dating your friend’s ex-girlfriend, you don’t have to rub his nose in it.

Hey John! Wait til Elizabeth starts to date. And then you’ll have to go through it all again with the new baby!

I’m confused. I would have thought by now that Michael had met Deanna as that’s who he ended up marrying.

Success, according to the look on a specific face. His mom and dad, especially his mom, will pull some books for him.
