@Number Three Today’s strip is slightly funny and variation of a theme , our Hero Mr Andrew Capp has good reason to like his pal Chalkie he not only pays for Andy’s drinks he drives him on their pub crawl , my avatar today is a spoof on wedding days , the bride dragging the broom to the Altar , unlike us who have been married for 50 years and are very happy in our relationship , how was your day? and please come back to commenting as soon as you feel like it, we miss you , our day should be busy but calm I hope, BCNU pal.
Haverhill in the UK had an Annual wheelbarrow race. Contestants would dress in funny clothes and make stops at the pubs along the way and chug a pint and the pusher and rider would swap positions. It was revived in 2001 to benefit LAMPH a charity group. Great fun as you can imagine.

I’m embarrassed to admit I actually thought Chalkie was taking Andy home until I got to the last panel.

The best town for a Pub Crawl is Stoney Stratford, Bucks… It has more pubs per mile of high street than any town in the country…
I lived within walking/crawling distance… before I left the UK…
The expression “A Cock and Bull story” originated at The Cock pub and The Bull pub on Stoney high street…

He would never have STARTED it either, since Chalkie is probably buying!

Now that’s customer service. The pubs provide wheelbarrows so the customer can finish their pub crawl.

I only once ever did a pub crawl. I wasn’t that impressed.

Would Andy do the same for Chalkie? Not likely; too much work, especially if Chalkie ran out of money.
