Tell you what, brother, you go live off the land. I’ll go to college, get a good-paying job, and buy a nice home to live in. And when you get tired of nuts and berries, maybe I’ll hire you to be my gardener. (Anyway, that’s what I did … except I do all my own gardening!)

you have to do a lot of studying to live off the land so it is best to put that studying into a trade or college education.
