Note, I said turn on the HOT water taps. If you turn off the COLD water taps and flush the toilets, there will be a trip to the emergency room for scalding.

Would definitely pay to have a shut off valve for the hot water outside the bathroom and give fair notice that everyone has a 5 minute limit of showers.
