Truly eco-friendly, but to much work for the young ones.

If we still had our clothesline and the time to hang clothes out to dry, I would. They smell so fresh then.

The past few weeks here any clothes on the clotheslines would be covered with yellow pollen. I do love being able to hang certain things out on a clothesline, but sadly ours broke and we haven’t repaired it yet.

The only advantage of those old-fashioned clothes pins was you could whittle them at home. The clamp-style ones work much better.

Niece and nephew were over. They were fascinated by the whistling tea pot. Said they thought that was only in cartoons.

I live in Mexico. It seems everybody here hangs clothes out to dry.

I can hang dry clothes for a few weekends during the winter. By summertime, forget it. Not going to wake at dawn to get clothes washed and line dried before the rain rolls in at noon.

In the house my family lived in when I was 4 there was a pipe set in concrete to anchor the clothesline. When my dad taught me to hit a baseball I had a problem with lifting my back foot on the follow through. He tied it to the pipe.

I have clotheslines and use them unless it’s raining, freezing or pollen season. As soon as everything isn’t covered in green-yellow I’m back to hanging things out.
