    Good argument for the extenda-leash.

The only argument for one, but still a good one!

Did they have those kind of leashes in the 1960s?

Are you sure Rover’s name isn’t really Casey? “That hydrant ain’t my style”.

In the town where I lived in Massachusetts, no one shoveled the sidewalks. Of course, there weren’t any

    It’s Rover’s choice, but he won’t miss a spot.

Dang – that is exactly the way it was with me this morning! My yellow Lab, snow, a retractable longer leash and him at the very end of it. The more “rope you give him” the further he wants to go! (And, for the record, I do let him roam free at times but when we get too far from home on a walk, I’m concerned he’ll get distracted and not come back!)

Didn’t have these when we had our dogs but did have long metal chains we’d walk ours with. Except Mr. Bo as he loved the snow (and upstate NY got a lot of it) so he had a field day putting his nose down and making a tunnel for himself, plus rolling in it….he was part shep/collie mix and the cold and snow was he fav. Summer he spent in the a/c. He’d watch me go out to lay in the sun, give me a kiss good-bye and go and lay by the cool vent, shaking his head all the way there. LOL

I wonder when the extendable leash was invented? I don’t remember them being around in the 1970’s when I was a kid.
