Yesterday, Mysta was in the light in panel one, but then in panel two, she began her journey into Roboto’s darkness, as evidenced by her face being in shadow. The source of darkness (Roboto) was then displayed in panel three, with a small lamp piercing the malignancy just enough to show its source. Now today, everyone is the shadow of Roboto’s evil. That is how I interpret Staton’s progression of art, and I think it’s wonderful.
Who’s the schlub in panel 1 with Mysta? Another of Roboto’s flunkies? Or someone legit who has no idea what’s about to go down?
Like some others (e.g., yumpinyiminey above), I find the set-up here confusing. Is this the real Vue magazine headquarters, or not? Does warehouse worker Mr. Roboto secretly own and publish Vue? Or are he and Charlie Johnson lurking in an adjacent office and about to storm Vue? I hope we get some clarification, but I’m not betting the bank on it….

I love the intelligence of Mindy’s 4th static charge thingy knowing instinctively to avoid the word balloon.
Coolest thing about the strip!

Good morning™, photo shooters!
That’s a spacey backdrop they have there. Even Mysta seems a bit puzzled by it. She awaits her interview.

Note all the details—a Limo, a legit set for a photo shoot. Roboto has some pull with Vue, it would seem.

The guy in Panel 2: has he been hanging around any subway stations?

They have set this up well. Mr. Roboto obviously has a plan. But what is Widebrim Henchman going to do? I can’t wait to see tomorrow’s strip!
