@ Cappers Today’s strip , in my humble opinion , IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s enthusiasm about the football match quickly wanes when he find that he and his pal Chalkie can’t sneak in for free because of the barbed wire on top , so it’s back to the pub :o) my avatar is an example of how a word in most languages sounds similar , (example Ambulance ) in German it sounds a bit harsh ’ with apologies to Teutonic language speakers , hope you all have a nice day , our Sunday should be busy but calm I hope
Back when drive-in movies had a speaker on every post, I spliced a wire into the back row and buried it all the way to a road with a view of the screen. The plug that I left just off the road gave me several free movies.
It must be a pretty old stadium to have such low walls. You’d have to be in Special Forces to scale the walls of our football ( soccer ) stadium here in Machala! ( Not to say that there aren’t some enterprising youngsters who have figured a way in, to watch the match for free )

The game might be on TV, anyway and they can drink while they watch.

As he went away, the fox remarked ‘Oh, you aren’t even ripe yet! I don’t need any sour grapes.’

Any excuse to go to the pub would seem to be a good one.

I suppose going to the hardware store to get a pair of wire cutters is out of the question.
