As I said yesterday. Worry about yourself first. Anybody who doesn’t want to read anything here can just go somewhere else. There are plenty of other sites to go to.
Lennie, I didn’t realize you lost your sister also in 2019. I’m so sorry for this double loss….and pretty close together, too, I see by the dates. May 2020 bring better days. Love your strip….so happy I discovered it over the last year.
I think Lenny knows the regulars pretty well, and knows we respect him and enjoy his work. Plus he puts Ginger in for us to find to keep us busy, kind of like a laser pointer and a kitty.
I can’t even imagine how hard it is to write funny stuff when you have so much sadness on your mind. Nice that you have your music and art to help you heal.
First, it is hard to make a living as either an artist, a cartoonist, or even a musician. There is a lot of work that must be done just to make a living at any of these professions. I grew up in the home of an artist. If my mother did not have the love and support of my father, she would not of have a career in art. The only pure independent artist I knew had a job as a caretaker of a tourist plantation home in order to take care of his family.Second, unless someone has undergone the loss of a close family member, they don’t know how crippling that event can be. I lost my first wife to a car wreck over twenty years ago. I returned to work a week later so I could keep my mind off of the emptiness that had crashed into my life.

Lennie, I have two comments.

Just ignore the damed trolls. I know, that’s easier said than done. But, you can’t let the B’s get you down.
