We had a very nice sofa that the dog was not supposed to get on. He had been scolded many times for getting on it. But, bless his heart, he was a dead giveaway when we would come home from being out. We would find him in the living room in front of the sofa slinking away with his head down. Sure enough, we could find the warm spot where he had been lying on the sofa. If he had just jumped down and run away, he would have gotten away with it.
