I taught my granddaughter how to re-wire a broken lamp when she was 11. Now she’s a college grad with a degree in feminist studies.
When my husband was a kid, he asked to borrow his dad’s drill. Dad allowed it, but cautioned, “Don’t drill any holes in the wall.” My husband drilled 17 holes in the floor. I guess that one ended poorly, but at least he followed instructions.
Eh. I was taught to do laundry. Ugh.
