Considering he started that whole list on a whim, it’s not surprising it didn’t last.

C’mon, Frank. You live in Philly. You have less chance of dying on safari than leaving your house.

I’ve been on safari in Tanzania twice. Never had a concern with the animals. So long as you stay in your vehicle, you’re fine. Of course, if you decide to get out to pet the lions, it’s a different matter!

We even stayed in a tented camp on the Serengeti, where the lions wandered around at night. Again, so long as you stay in your tent (which is the size of a small hotel room, and has washroom facilities), you are fine. If you need to leave your tent for any reason at night, they give you a whistle. Blow the whistle and someone (armed with a rifle – not to kill animals, but to scare them off) will come and escort you.

Frank is missing the experience of a lifetime.

The prospect of death helps some mature.
