I’d rather smile or laugh than frown…

Harry Bliss, lighten up, okay? Your artwork is so detailed that it almost looks lifelike sometimes. This one really bothered me, I suppose, because I lost one of my own precious kitty-babies very recently, and that image, that expression on Puss’ face did me in. I wound up crying my eyes out yet another time. I normally enjoy your comic strip, but today’s strip was far from bit funny to me.

VERY BAD TASTE

I never understood people who think cats coming to harm is funny. I wish they would permanently lose that yowling cat sound effect cheap directors use when someone throws something out the window at night. I stopped watching “Tom and Jerry” when I realized it was really “Tom Injury”.

These cartoons seem lately like the creations of someone who’s being bothered by seasonal affective disorder.

Seeing animals suffering strikes a nerve for most of us, no matter whether it’s real or not. On the other hand, I can think of several humans who have really earned their cement shoes ….

Aw, gosh, Mr. Bliss, a lot of people come to the comics for stuff from ‘the funny papers.’ You probably drew this one based only on what might happen in the world of comics, but we readers experience comics on a different plane. :-S

I join the BOO HISS crowd! With all the horrible things humans have done to fellow creatures on this earth – to try and make a “funny” out of this situation is only adding to the stench. We don’t need such visuals. The fact is – we know this kind of treatment for animals and humans is a reality but not one that should be viewed as entertainment. Sickness, yes.

He’s at the end of his 9th life??
