Or maybe it was the behaviour that inspired the drawings…

This is why one should never draw violent caves.

Or quarter in them, either.

Anyone ever ask why cave people are all drawn so overweight. Seems unlikely to me.

essential resources shortages: fire, food, and women.

Could it be that when you get more than a dozen people living in an area you start complaining about the “others” and how they are depleting you resources? “Don’t talk to them, they’re gonna take away your clubs!!”

But if we ban clubs only criminals will have them.

Clubs and rocks kill people, not people. Ban clubs and rocks!

Ah, yes. Conservative caveman philosophy has been around for millennia.
