My niece is like that with shoes. She must have more than 100 pairs.

We visited her and her husband in Dublin and then drove down to Waterford. My wife and I were packed for two weeks and had one suitcase each. She was going down for the weekend and had a suitcase for her clothes and another for her shoes.

When we got to her parent’s place I found that she had about two dozen shoes kept down there.

My wife is not as obsessive with shoes, but even she has at least four or five times as many shoes as me.

I can envision a scenario where archaeologists in the future dig up a 21st century house and when they get to the bedroom closet come to the conclusion that the male of the species was bipedal and that women were centipedial.

Bar-hopping 32 bars in one weekend. Impressive, Aunty.

Which shoes will you be wearing when you trip, Aunty?

Shades of the upper class Victorian weekend. . .satin t-shirts and flowing georgette pants. . .the Victorians’ favorite weekend sport. . .dressing . . .and undressing. . .

When I do a trip, I usually pack 1/2 of what I need for the trip, then do a laundry stop in the middle. Keeps the luggage lighter.

A 3 hour tour….

Just in case you end up on Gilligan’s Island?
