Yeah. The Woman has all sorts of weird stuff around. Like Punch and yes, the cuckoo clock

My living room has a few weird things but not sure if there are as many as ten.

Now that’s not fair, Puck. You’re supposed to be answering questions, not raising more!

So … what IS on Puck’s Top 10 list of Living Room Weirdness? There’s the cuckoo clock and … I’m drawing a blank here … When reporter cats seem totally normal, “weird” sort of loses all standard meaning … :D

The thing I find weird is falling asleep in a sunbeam and waking up and finding it over there. Who runs around rearranging sunbeams?

Weirdness abounds. Sometimes all you can do is live in it.

And have you heard of …. The Mailman? !!!

My cat, Cassidy, would like to solve the mystery of the sliding door on the DVD player…why does it open when I sit on that weird black stick thing?

Is Goldie ambidextrous? She was writing with her left paw the other day. Today the pen is in her right paw.

G. Dunn appears to be her first suspect. Love how her eyebrows change over the course of this strip.

That is a puzzlement.

Mine go nuts over the robot vacuum. I have it docked under the couch and it’s set to do its thing every morning at 10:00.

OT just a little – does anyone else’s cat pull cat grass up by the roots with their teeth and then not eat it?

When I had to live outside,

The world, a simpler spot,

Food was either there,

Or else it was not,

Now I have a home,

Things have changed a lot,

I have my food and friends,

But simple they are not!

There are times I find confusion in conclusions I that I learned so long ago,

Food was either there not, grass did not just come and go!

I have learned how to survive, and investigate, and sometimes procure,

But now I have a home and friends, sometimes I really am not so certain, I am sure.

It’s a puzzlement.

How can I get along with my cat brothers?

Puck and I are friends, but then what of Lupin?

Do I stand up to his demands, or try to give him space?

How do I convince him I deserve to make my own place?

…….

Shall I then be like Elvis,

And be willfully dignified and strong?

Can I always be right?

And never realize I may be wrong?

…….

Is it a danger to go out of doors?

This is against my humans’ wishes,

But if I only stay inside,

I won’t learn of things, I’m so ambitious!

Ah, sometimes I think that Lupin’s not so bad!

But not matter what I think, a puzzle I must solve,

What happens to the grass, I must show those whom I love,

How cat grass comes and goes, does it fall from up above?

Etcetera, etcetera and so forth

We spent every Thanksgiving with my aunt and uncle in New York. They had a cuckoo clock that the four of us kids found utterly fascinating.

When my uncle passed (my aunt preceded him by a few years) my mother went to clean out his apartment and reached out to me and my three siblings to ask if there was anything of his that we wanted. Reportedly, all four of us asked for the cuckoo clock – which, as it turned out, had been donated to Goodwill a couple of years earlier.

(I also asked for one of his caps – my uncle wore caps instead of hats – and I still wear it proudly when I have occasion to do so.)

Puck is ever wise.

Looks like Goldie is getting to research many mysteries.

Goldie, if you knew truly what Puck has seen…..

Goldie must meet Tillie. After that, she and Tabitha will get along very well.

Oddness is relative, in that household.

Happy (?) World Tug-of-War Day. Certainly better than current methods for solving international, or even national disputes.

So if the world is pulling you in a direction you don’t want to go, dig in your heels, or let go of the rope. (Note: not recommended if rope goes through a pulley to a bucket of bricks …)

Uh oh, Goldie’s in for a ten year list of mysteries to solve. Someone introduce her to Tillie, she could solve them for her.

Come to think of it, I imagine that cats think that most of the things that their humans do are odd….

I feel dumb, is the woman just replacing the dead grass?
