The birds are here in the California Coachella Valley (greater Palm Springs area anyway). The mockingbirds are at it around 3:45a.m. anyway while it’s still dark.
One of my fav cartoons ever is a dad reading a sign by the Grand Canyon to his family, “It says it started out as a pothole on a small suburban street.”
That’s somewhat different than the version I recall: “Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, I wonder where the flowers is?” Of course, my visual perspective is more ground level than birdies. Oh well, off to the puddle and sun myself on a rock!

There is a great opportunity for road crews to get a jump on the pot-holes right now. Traffic is very light while we all social distance.
