Our Central American neighbors are very religious. The maternal mother is buied nearby. In nice weather, after Mass, they do a picnic @ her grave.Happy Palm Sunday!
It’s not nearly as rare as you might think. William J. Mullen,(1805-1882), a prominent prison reformer, had his over-the-topmonument built and installed at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia long before his death. He would typically spend summer Sundayafternoons near it, explaining it to visitors—-long before the cemetery had any regular tour guides.https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/14434523/william-james-mullen
Actually, you only purchase the right to be buried there. The cemetery still holds title to the actual property. Technically, you don’t own it till you get plugged into it.

I like today’s strip. Cemetaries are usually beautiful, and very peaceful. And great for social distancing!
