    Did Garfield trip and fall into the trash can, or is he looking in it for food? It doesn’t look like he tripped over the lid, since it wasn’t in his path.

    This is as fake as the moon landing! We see where the sun is, but look at the shadows in panel one. The shadow of his left foot goes left, indicating a light sourse to the right, the shadow of his right foot goes right, indicating a light source from the left, and there’s a shadow of his right leg on his left leg, indicating a light source on the other side of the fourth wall, and then there’s the sun, which doesn’t seem to cast a shadow at all. This is fake, I tell you, FAKE!!
