    Puppies have to learn to love a leash. First time? They resist and try to pull out of it. Once they know the leash means “Walkies!”, they’re set.

    ties are one of those traditions that really have no good explanation. …actually that’s true of a lot of traditions. (or as Tevye put it… you may well ask why this is a tradition; I’ll tell you… I don’t know, but it’s TRADITION! (or something like that))

    In many of my security jobs I was required to wear a tie, but for safety reasons, it had to be a clip on.

    To me, the best thing about wearing a tie was being able to help others with theirs. Including the school valedictorian.
