Noah was one very brave young man. Well done that boy.

I thought the NY World Fai was in 1939…and how did the ladies keep their skirts from flying up on the way down?

My grandfather was on that ride and he claimed at the top when he looked around all he could see were cemeteries.

There was a marriage that had its ups and downs.

I do that all the time.

The parachute ride was called The Life Savers Candy Parachute Jump. Adults paid 40 cents a trip; children paid 25 cents. After the fair, the ride was moved to Coney Island, where it operated on and off until the 1960s. Now closed, the supporting structure still stands there today on the Coney Island Boardwalk.

I’m glad the dog’s OK, but really Noah – don’t do that again! Rather have you safe than the dog!

to finish the story, after Noah pulled the dog to safety, he then ran next door where his uncle’s house was for help, and together they alerted the rest of the family
