You can find ANYTHING on the internet, bur the truth is the most difficult to find.

Well, since brown eggs come from brown chickens, it makes perfect sense. But then, why is it “robin’s egg blue” and not “robin’s egg red”?

And fudge ripple ice cream comes from Holsteins.

Some people think the world is flat too.

The Internet is just full of information—-often misinformation, but information nonetheless!

Mom use to tell us that white milk came from white cows, chocolate mike came from brown cows, and both from white/brown cows, depending on the spigot.

I believed that when I was a kid.

I thought everyone knew that.

That canard precedes the internet by a loooong ways. Back in the 50s, a children’s anti-segregation song started, “You can get white milk from a brown-skinned cow/The color of the skin doesn’t matter anyhow.”

WHAT? It’s not true chocolate milk comes from a brown cow? My entire life is ruined. ;-)

“Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.”

Oh-oh!

Chocolate milk DOES come from brown cows, and white cows, and holsteins, and even goats (though in all cases the chocolate is post-processed in).

You get chocolate milk from cows that have been fed chocolate.

Why would you say, “The internet says ….”? Would you say, “My telephone told me ….”? Would you say, “My mail told me ….”? “The internet” isn’t doing the talking.

Used properly the internet is a wonderful tool. Just the other day my partner asked if I could remove the oven door so she could clean it. I gave it a try for 2 minutes and then bam! Internet, done…

There is a place near my home where I can get green eggs.

This is the sort of thing that results from badly worded multiple-choice surveys. I’ll bet almost no one thought chocolate milk came from brown cows until they saw it as one choice on the survey.

The myths are things like that. Not the real ones that are bogus.

Mallet’s Blog* Posts Frazz20 hrs · As if I’m immune to Internet-spread chocolate milk theories. I completely bought into the campaign that chocolate milk was the ultimate recovery drink for athletes, and I still have a glass after a good, hard workout.

I don’t know if it works or not, but it doesn’t seem to hurt, and it tastes good. Maybe it even comes from brown cows, though that raises disturbing questions about Strawberry Quik. If the Internet has an answer for that one, I don’t want to know it.

I have moved beyond the internet and find solace in the outernet!!
