If sporting events hadn’t been postponed indefinitely, I’d say they were engaging in trash talk.

During the Great Plague (or, perhaps the cause of it entering Europe), the Mongol army hurled plague-infected corpses over a city wall. It was, indeed early bio-warfare.

Aren’t the ones starting the siege on the outside?

Leningrad in WW2 was a different sort of siege: surround and wait it out. Over the course of almost 900 days three million inhabitants starved to death. I don’t know which form is worse.

The folks of ID, i.e., the Idiots, did not decide to try a siege. The Hun leader who’s speaking and who, clearly, is both the cause of and in charge of the siege, is doing precisely what our dear Capo loves to do, i.e., blame the victims of the dire circumstances for creating the dire circumstances. The Hun leader brought the trebuchet, not the Idiots. The Huns are the besiegers and the Idiots are the besieged.

Actually, offal was catapulted into places under siege – in hopes of fomenting disease.
