I think it is funny how everyone thinks all cats know what “ Here, kitty, kitty” means. We never called our cat “kitty” so she would have been clueless.
Nice work Dave! As a pet reuniter, I follow the Missing Animal Response guidelines which address where a cat might be according to its usual territory & its behaviour, so I enjoyed this cartoon especially: https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/

A 3rd grader was given an assignment to write a 100-word essay. She turned in the following:
“My cat got lost last night, so I went to the door and called Here Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty Kitty .”
