This reminds me of a story I read a long time ago about a young girl about to be sacrificed to a dragon. She engages it in conversation & it complains about all the “skinny virgins” the villagers keep giving it. She points out that the fat priest in charge is also a virgin, whereupon the dragon promptly gobbles him up (along with a few of his tubby fellow virgin priests) for the best meal of his life, & gratefully agrees not to bother the villagers any more.

Marriage isn’t for everyone. But, inflatable girlfriends will do the trick.
