Those sound effects in panel 3… Can you guess which were previously used by Don Martin in MAD magazine? Hint: Only two of them.
All that onomatopoeia. Yiddish is loaded with onomatopoeic words that would have made nifty Don Martin sounds… PLOTZ for example. But I’ve never sifted through all the Martinisms with a Yiddish dictionary in hand. He never used PLOTZ, though.
