When Calvin is your neighbor, truth is the first casualty
not much of a neighborhood, is it, when you don’t know your other neighbors?
And they have to live on the same street.
You’d expect Calvin to look for an egg and then throw it at Susie. But this is something, I guess
The lights were on, but nobody was home.
Someone with that condition should be watched & supervised 24/7.
Stupendous! :D
An anagram of “Bolt of Crimson” is “Comfort in slob.”
“Everyday I look for a moving van.”
She should have just told her mother that Calvin answered the door. I am sure she would have understood.
I also look forward to the day I see a moving van in my neighbors driveway.
Just as well that Calvin was… uhm, occupied. Otherwise I’m pretty sure Susie would have been wearing the egg on her way home.
Eggs and Oreos don’t share the same living spaces. So probably not.
A boy with an un-restrainable imagination, who’ll end up with a very popular comic strip. Weekdays and Sunday.
What a get mind Watterson had/has.
Wise beyond her years. A good lie beats a bad fight any day.
One day, Susie, you’ll be kicking yourself after he’s made it big in the papers and forgotten all about you.
Boy does Susie have that correct.
Shouldn’t that be “snow goons” on the sign?
Excuse me, duty calls – I think I need to liberate a few cookies right now with my second coffee.
Susie is right. Nobody home.
This past week, Calvin has only been annoying (but not destructive).
At least no one you could trust to handle a raw egg.
I wonder if grown-ups are allowed to dress like Calvin and Hobbes to go trick or treating.
If you borrow an egg, just remember to return it when you are done with it.
He acts like it’s unusual to see a mortal female. Well, at least he didn’t identify her as Annoying Girl this time.
A historical marker in front of Watterson’s house would be nice but I’m sure, being the social hermit he has become, He’d probably hate it!
The lights were even on, too. (It must hard growing up in a situation when your like either Calvin or Susie, and the only kids on your street.)
Watterson has said that Suzie is based on his wife…
The lights were on but nobody was home.
“No one sane.”
Nobody she was willing to deal with.
Nice penultimate panel!
I remember this from the first go-round. Boston skyline! Charles River, Storrow Drive, Hancock Tower.
