Perhaps that helicopter could drop a few face masks at the beaches and churches their killer clown governor decided to keep open. But that would be a waste as the Floridean beach goers would used them as makeshift swimwear, and churches would burn them as heresy against JAY-SUS.
Okay… Chocolate rabbits and chocolate eggs are traditionally eaten at this time as a reminder of rebirth (The Resurrection)… Marshmallows as a reminder of…….?
Incidentally, those marshmallows are wrapped in cellophane or something… or just dropped loose on the ground?
The existence of such long-tongued moths was predicted in 1862, but was first confirmed over forty years later by a specimen collected in Madagascar in 1903.
How was it predicted? It’s existence was deduced by the fact that certain tropical orchids have their pollen-bearing organs at the bottom of a very long (and extremely narrow) fluted blossom. Only a moth with such a proboscis could serve as the pollinator of such flowers.
But even after the collection of the Madagascar specimen, no one had observed the actual pollination event. That’s at least partly because it takes place in the dead of night in dense jungles. It was over a hundred and fifty years before the theory was proved by filming the event with motion-activated movie cameras, with night-photographuc capabilities.
Since then, a few other species of moth have been found with such huge probosces, all of them in the Hawk Moth family .

At the height of the Cabbage Patch Kids craze of 1983, Christmas shoppers were said to be fighting in toy aisles to purchase the scarce dolls.
A Wisconsin radio announcer joked that a B-29 bomber would drop 2,000 Cabbage Patch Kids into Milwaukee County Stadium. People should bring catcher’s mitts, and whoever grabbed a doll needed to hold up their credit card to be photographed.
The hoax was repeated elsewhere. In Atlanta, for example, the dolls would be dropped from a helicopter over a Little League baseball field. Only those who held up their credit cards to be photographed would have a doll thrown directly to them !
I especially love the detail about the catcher’s mitt. I suspect some people had to go out and buy a mitt in order to participate.
My mother made raccoon. She’d put it in a pressure cooker along with lots of veggies and cook for many hours at low temp. It was delicious. She did bear the same way.
Marshmallow drops are common at small community summer festivals. They replaced ping pong balls in the 70s or 80s for safety reasons after a few eyes were put out. I don’t know what’s so BION about this.

I’m sure Mr. Coolidge did not like the taste of raccoon! I would not try one unless it was the only food left!

What’s fun is to mix in a few hundred heavy ball bearings when you do the drop. It really gets people screaming.

What a marvelous idea. Thousands of marshmallows lying upon the clean ground for the children…
