I would say “Why don’t you just zap yourself up there?”, but given Wiz’s track record…

That spiral staircase is backwards. The defenders (those going down) need to have their right hands free to wield weapons. The way it is drawn, the defenders will keep hitting the wall.

And besides, it’s fun.

Now that I think about it, Dumbledore had a similar conveyance up to his office. To his credit, Gandalf walked.

Actually, the last panel makes it look like Wiz is circling the drain.

I don’t blame Wizard. Stairs are my nemesis too. In my case, I fall down them.

Apparently, the teleportation spell is still in the “stubby pencil” stage…

Who needs a stair step machine when you can just climb all those stairs?

With THOSE herculean stairs leading to sky, you would age faster due to less gravity. Way to explain time dilation!

Why would he need a stair lift? Doesn’t he know any levitation spells?
