The joke would work a bit better if the dialogue in the first panel just ended with “a 1977 science fiction movie” and didn’t include “called Star Wars.” But it was still pretty funny.
Oh, yes, I remember: the only time I ever saw a movie because “everyone else” was seeing it and talking about it and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I still want my two hours back. They can keep my $3.
