Oh, now I get the French spelling of her name. (Remember Yvette Mimieux? Life magazine had a cover photo of her in a bikini. I nearly fell over from lust.)
I seem to remember an “I” in that word: ham-in-uh. Mme. Mimi and I both want to know if it’s a word and do you have to have a bit of drool at the corner of your mouth to say it correctly.
National Pet Day. I must remember to give my kitties a special treat today in honor of the day.
National Submarine Day
National Cheese Fondue Day
National eight track tape day
National Barbershop Quartet Day.
So, today you should take your pet on a submarine ride and serve up some cheese fondue while you listed to a barbershop quartet on your old eight track tape player. I never had an eight track tape player myself.
From yesterday’s comments to Perkycat about my video of the snow:
Funny how the video stopped right after you passed a police car. Anything else you want to tell us? ☺☺☺
I didn’t really even notice the video ended right after I passed by that speed trap. I know you’re kidding, but the dash cam does the recording in 3-minute spurts – all the better for being able to pick out one small section to show if someone runs into you or cuts you off or if a deer runs in front of you – you don’t have to play through so much video to find the part you need. By the way, the cops watch for speeders in that spot fairly frequently, so I’m always watching for them. I was good and I wasn’t speeding (at least, not until well after I passed the speed trap. LOL
We were supposed to start having our temperatures checked at work today, but the infra-red thermometer wasn’t working because of the cold weather. That’s what they told us, anyway. So I was asked if I have a fever or if I felt sick and I said no to both questions and I was free to go clock in. No line waiting when I got there -just one other associate who was behind me and she was just coming in the door as I was set free to clock in.
Walmart has set limits on how many people are allowed in the stores at one time, but the limits are such high numbers, it’s laughable. The limit in my store is 651 and we usually don’t get more than 200 at once,
Easter Sunday will likely be VERY busy in our store – who knows – we might even start flirting with that limit. The reason is that virtually every other store will be closed – Target will be closed and the huge mega grocery store, Woodman’s will also be closed. And those last-minute Easter candy shoppers will be out in droves. We have Tons of Easter candy and other Easter stuff left. Sales have been slow and only started to pick up in the past couple days. I’ll put in a few hours of overtime today to help get the store ready for the big event tomorrow.
I’m struggling here not to fall asleep, so I guess it’s time for bed.

10. If I got my days right, tomorrow is still Easter. Here is a popular Easter themed picture from the past. (I know that Easter has been called off - or is it the Masters golf tournament?)
“Hamna Hamna”: That’s something I would also like to know.
My Goldi – when she likes something very well, a treat for instance like “Dreamies” from Waltham, she is making in advance such a similary noise, with open mouth, fluttering underlip and as to say Mmmmh [ M~m~m~m~h] (meaning: that is good). Maybe that is nearly the meaning from Hamna Hamna. Maybe, Mr. Harrop knows the meaning and will tell us some day – smile!
On the other hand, we already know what it means, let’s just look at this enamored Ches-nee! N’est pas?
Well, we’ve been n the new location for six months now. AC has already made a name for himself amongst the neighbors. Fortunately, my wife’s extremely high standing here (she’s a retired nurse, we stocked up on medical gear of every type, she provides health care for free to anyone that needs it – also we raise our own birds and vegetables – which nowadays could well be worth more than gold) deters the locals from shooting the bugger.
Fit the First: AC has achieved domination of the big dog next door. By repeatedly going over and beating the heck out of the dog – who was barking at AC and failing to act respectfully – AC has taught the dog to be elsewhere when he comes over on his tour of inspection. Now that the dog knows his place, AC will leave him alone.
Fit the Second: AC has partly achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a Lynx or Bobcat. He has a very feline sense of humor – which can be sometimes disturbing. He went over to the next door neighbors and perched on the little roof above their front door. This was at night. The man of the house, hearing noise on the roof, came out to see what was going on. As he came out the door AC took a swing at the hat the man was wearing and connected. The guy quickly retreated inside and told his partner there was a Lynx on the roof.
Fortunately, when they came out, armed, the woman of the house recognized AC as our cat and he did not get shot. (Told you, the wife’s standings here are high.) AC meant no harm, he was just indulging his sense of humor.
Fit the Third: A neighbor up the road recognized AC. AC was sitting on his front porch. The gentleman tried to shoo this mere cat off the porch. AC did not agree and said as much to the gentleman, also accompanying it with a display of readiness for battle.
The gentleman approves of AC. He likes a cat with spirit and courage.
AC is now exploring further afield as the snow slowly melts. He’ll subjugate the local cats and dogs and, once they acknowledge he’s the boss, he’ll make them full citizens of the AC Empire with all the benefits that brings.
If the humans treat him with respect he’ll happily reciprocate and defend both them and their property from interlopers.
It’s weird having Chuck Norris in a fur coat around…
Tinker Belle, the donkey, is improved today. One of my trips outside to chase a squirrel, I heard the Red Breasted Nuthatch in the dogwood tree. It’s back for the next half year…Yea!
