Lyme disease mite cheese? They’re trying a new recipe. The chef cough over the cheese and it’s kept in social isolation for a while. The Crown Cheese, flavor to die for! :D Seriously, what’s the idea of the mites? The cheese ages because of the decay of the proteins. The mites do nothing to the proteins of the cheese. I don’t think they even eat it.
Since I’ve never heard of Rae I looked her up. Apparently her mother bit off her left ear, which is odd all by itself. Looking at the photos of her, you can see how the migration of the ear affected her skin and skull. It appears she can hear, though it’s hard to tell how well. This really is a bizarre case! (I couldn’t tell if she has a left ear hole, though. Biting off the flap shouldn’t have affected the rest of the ear.)

Mitey strong cheese.

At least quark only has mites on the rind. Unlike the Sardinian cheese Cash marzu which is full of live maggots.

I’ve never had it in the first place, but now I know to stay away from Wurchwitzer Mite Cheese!

I’ve had French Mimolette which is another mite cheese and it was tasty. I would try Würchwitzer if I had a chance to…

Ok, did the dog only have ONE ear? Or one of its TWO ears was on top of its head?
And I’m glad that it was an accidental injury. I’d hate to think that someone would injure a dog like that deliberately.

I mite actually try that cheese.

I’ve not heard of that particular cheese. I know that in some Slavic countries they eat a cheese with live larvae in it….

Regardless, she’s cute as can be!

That feat is quite impressive considering how competitive the walking-across-Lake-Baikal-while-jugging-a-soccer-ball competition is.

Those poor mites! I can hear their tiny screams with every bite.

Try that at an American restaurant and the Board of Health will shut you down before the check arrives.
