Sometimes the best gift you can give is space & alone time. When my best bud/partner in crime/roommate PJ died suddenly last year, all I wanted was a couple of weeks alone to process the loss. I’m eternally grateful to all my neighbors for honoring that!

Sometimes just knowing there is someone to listen and not judge, when you’re ready to talk is very comforting.

Cat… you tried and that is what counts. Gerbil will appreciate it even though it is unspoken

Just letting a friend know that you are there and willing to listen can help; when Gerbil feels like it, I hope he will come back to talk.
