Ah yes, “speak only in ” . Teacher’s way of keeping the talking in class to a minimum. Brilliant! It also had a way of keeping the loud mouth popular attention grabbing kids subdued, and the quieter studious kids got a chance to be heard. I was somewhere in the middle, just an observer of humanity even then.
