    Ah, of course, it must be the Wine Club. Troll was wearing (one of?) Neil’s Wine Club for Men shirts, so they’re simply trying to ascertain the miscreant who would besmirch their good name by pretending to be one of their members. Makes perfect sense, good deduction, Mildred!

    (Changes for the remaster: yesterday and today were originally one strip; the top half of yesterday’s and the bottom half of today’s are new for the remaster. Makes it more clear that, although the unruly mob met with Neil, he’s not going to be a part of it; he won’t show up with the mob later, but it’s probably better that it’s made more explicit this way.)
