I wish I could remember what cartoon showed “If Time Travel were real” with a line of time-travellers at Ford’s Theater to stop Lincoln’s assassination.
I keep telling all the time travellers who come to my bar: You don’t have to kill Hitler, just go back to when he was a baby and switch babies (although I think he was born at home and not in a hospital). No killing involved, and someone else grows up as Adolph Hitler.
You’d have to run countless simulations to ensure you don’t butterfly effect the world in a bad way. For example, what if preventing Hitler from taking power prevented the civil rights movement, didn’t put the US off of its eugenics program, and allowed society to still think antisemitism was perfectly fine? In fact, the farther back you go the worse the consequences can get from seemingly small changes.

If Monty ever watched Star Trek: Voyager he would know that time travel is a bad idea.

It’s just a wedgie. Some of us learn to live with it.

I hope the Bureau of Time Travel has some really tough cops to teach Monty the proper protocols….
Maybe Todd grew up to one of them!
