This presentation was much more interesting than the one assigned.

The way to decide whether to use a pie chart is to remember it’s never time to use a pie chart.

And yet, that isn’t as bad as some of the presentations I’ve sat through, or as bad as some of the charts and graphs I’ve seen.

I see a graph fight coming up.

What he needs to do is create a Venn Diagram to see the benefits to each chart. I could provide a flow chart on how to do so.

I used to have an engineer who had no idea how to generate graphs on a computer and he delegated it to me. I was happy to play around with them. Like learning new stuff.

Not to get distracted, but hasn’t Brewster had his brain sucked more than once.

So now we know graphs and chart aren’t the appropriate medium for discussing how to not get distracted.

Actually, that could have been a very novel way to illustrate the point. Maybe Brewster isn’t as dumb as he looks.

One of my favorite images is of the guy from How I Met Your Mother showing a bar graph of his favorite pies, and a pie chart of his favorite bars

He did his research well.

There needs to be an xkcd version of this if there isn’t one already

These kinds of presentations are easier if you remember that 90% of all statistics are made up 50% of the time.
