    Actually, there are people starving pretty much all over the globe. China is very industrious and could feed all its people if it wanted. But there’s incredible poverty there. India is the same. Then there are places like Niger or Haiti where the vast majority are hungry.

    Nerwin’s point is a good one.

    The USA is the most obese nation on earth and yet there are million who go to bed hungry every day. Go figure.

    The thing is Nerwin is right. Parents who force their child or children to overeat are one way that child or those children ARE over-weight. We all have a full feeling in our stomachs if we will only listen to it.

    Never quite enough food at our house when I was a kid to worry about having to clean your plate. And if there was something you didn’t like, there were siblings who did want it. The basic rule at our house was to not put more food on your plate than you were going to eat because there were hungry kids at the other end of the table.
