Today is:

National Telephone Day. I’m thinking of calling a couple of my friends since our monthly lunch gathering was canceled in March when one of them got sick, then it was called off in April due to this virus thing and it will ot be happening in May either for the same reason.

National Kiss of Hope Day. Cancel that No kissing. Social distancing, you know.

National Hug a Plumber Day. Cancel that too. Same reason.

National Sense of Smell Day. Forget that. Allergy season. I’m a bit congested (No I am NOT sick – it is my spring allergy) and my sense of smell is a bit compromised right now.

National East Meets West Day. But keep your social distancing!

National Rebuilding Day. It isn’t happening today, but I hope we can rebuild the economy and get things back to normal soon.

National Zucchini Bread Day. But zucchini is out of season

National Pool Opening Day. MUCH too cold here for that even if we could open pools this early. But there’s that virus thing again.

I think Mimieux will ignore both of them.

Did she go home? Do they have her address? Will we ever see her again? Feeling so sorry for these two, I miss her also!

We’ve had major winds in west Tennessee today…gusting to 60 mph. They blew in 2 male Rose Breasted Grosbeaks and an Indigo Bunting. Also had a Red Bellied woodpecker come to the bird feeder instead of the suet which was unusual. The bird’s skirts were blowing up when they did not keep heads into the wind. I expect to see trees down around the neighborhood tomorrow. Just hope not in my yard.

Well, this should be interesting. Who will win Mimeaux’s affections? Jack or Chesney?) (Likely neither.) On another note, saw a robin and a junco while out walking today. It was raining earlier, but the sun came out in the afternoon.

A bit behind, but CONGRATULATIONS GRAHAM! As I told you before, the strip you dedicated to me and Wet & Soggy (RIP GIRL!) is framed and hanging on my wall! :-) You and yours stay safe in these troubling times.
