But you’re never too old to enjoy ice cream. Or chasing the truck down.

Finally, a sunday strip! how long has it been?

Another reason why Miles’ new sneakers got trashed. This one’s all Kevin’s fault. He should buy the treats this round.

This make me remember a lot of old summers.

Summers long ago were so much more fun than today. Leave home in the morning to do whatever, stop in for a quick sandwich at lunch, and then back out until supper. Parents didn’t worry where you were or what you were doing (as long as it wasn’t destructive or hurtful) as long as you were home for meals and chores were done. Eight blissful hours of daily unstructured activity with one week of summer scout camp between Memorial Day and Labor day. The heat and humidity didn’t bother us kids and mosquito bites and sunburns were the only part of the experience that wasn’t much fun.

The older you are, the easier it is to catch up with the truck! (For a while anyways.)

There’s never been any “good ole days” but we did have our share of special times.

I’m an old guy now. In the summer on Fridays, an ice cream truck drives through the industrial park where I work. I still run after it and, yes, I still catch it.

Now I wonder why’d the ice cream guy would prefer driving off before getting money.

I predict that in the future, these boys will be chasing an ice cream truck ghost around….
