Husband : “Dear, look at what I just bought at the church jumble sale”.

I think he’ll go to that church looking to get that stuff back.

Best way to do it. When he’s not around and he will never notice it’s gone. Fred won’t say a word either.

As soon as he comes home. “Dear, have you seen my cardigan?”

Fred guard your bone stash ! It could be next ;-)

I notice it’s all his clothes that are going – nothing of hers.

By the time I’m done with clothes, they aren’t good for much except rags, and often there’s too much paint on them for that use.

He should now secretly pick things out of her clothes to get rid of. Maybe then she wouldn’t have the gall to violate his.

I am told that a “jumper” is a British term for a pullover sweater. I don’t think I ever heard that before.

Jumble sales there are called flea markets here. I don’t know what fleas have to do with it and I’d really rather not hazard a guess…
