Ok, now that is a statement, that 6 months ago, I never would have even thought.
We’ve come so far, and it’s not over yet. LA closed the beaches again because people just can’t get it through their skulls that this stuff is catching and ya need to stay away from your friends. Sheesh
Some Walmart pharmacies are doing curbside delivery, but ours isn’t really set up for that, so we have people coming in the store for prescriptions. But I heard yesterday that Target no longer is letting customers in the stores & they are doing curbside pick-up only. I don’t know if that’s true. I know Best Buy is doing that. It’s hard to shop for an appliance if you can’t see it first. But it’s just as well, I guess, since Best Buy also will not deliver appliances inside your house. They’ll leave them by your door and you have to get it inside yourself.
May Day. I remember as a kid, making May baskets and delivering them to some senior citizens who lived across the street from us. Do kids these days even know anything about that old tradition?
School Principal’s Day
School Lunch Hero Day. So many school “holidays” and no schools open. That’s sad
I love this little series – and still hope our Mimiuex will come back soon! 2 places I shopped yesterday had plexiglass dividers at the check stand, although not the supermarket where several men with beards ignored the “masks required” signs everywhere. Only 84 here today, with some clouds, so gardening is on tap until I run out of energy. I have thousands of weeds to be dug up or pulled along with planting melons and beans and tomatoes and all those other summer veggies. My front wall is ablaze with poppies and many other wildflowers – wish I could post a picture!
Our pharmacy now has a plastic partition over the counter. Might be a good idea to keep that up…..after all a lot of sick people pick up prescriptions. Don’t know what we would do without these people!!
It’s nice to know that there are people around to help out, even in times like these. On another note, saw a rabbit, a sparrow, and a robin while out walking today. I also saw a dragonfly and a Stellar’s jay outside.

Are there masks for cats? Not that they would put up with them.

I love their sweet widdle faces. But they really should be wearing masks. Tsk tsk…
