Georgia, that strip needs to be made into a poster for a child’s room. I am sure you can come up with more names for other letters. M…is for Man W…is for Woman. K…is for Kids, T…is for Tabitha. Etc.
Just in case anyone missed it, the 6 symbols on the book cover represent different frontline workers. Cartoonists were asked to include them in today’s strips as a tribute. Check out Wallace the Brave for another clever use of them.
I know I say this periodically, which is why I’ll say it again: When are the boy and girl going to swap hair colours? IRL, the girl’s hair turned light and boy’s dark. I’m hoping it’s handled in the strip as a sudden, overnight phenomenon, bemusing the cats.♥
I see some of you have started filling in the other letters, but apparently you all have lives, unlike me. Some of these will be new to the more recent readers.
A is for Alice
B is for Beatrix
C is for Capt. Nimble
D is for Dr. Mittens
E is for Elvis
F is for Father O’Kittery
G is for Goldie
H. ??
I is for the Intruder
J is for the July Bug
K is for Kit Chase
L is for Lord Crabbington
M is for Mouse, Baba
N is for Natasha
O ?
P is for Paisley
Q ? Quinn Vetinary Hospital, I suppose, which is a place, not a character.
Georgia is going to have to clone herself into about ten people to handle all the things we would like as well as care for her family and herself. I don’t know how she does it all, but I am sure glad she does.
“Look closely and you’ll find a mask for medical workers and caregivers, a steering wheel for delivery workers, a shopping cart for grocery workers, an apple for teachers, a fork for food service workers and a microscope for medical researchers. "
Thank you, Georgia, for leaving us the little reminders that we have a lot to be thankful for, and many people to thank from the bottoms of our hearts.
Thank you, Georgia, for leaving us the little reminders that we have a lot to be thankful for, and many people to thank from the bottoms of our hearts.
Here is the full message Georgia posted: "Did you catch the six hidden symbols in BCN’s Sunday strip today?? Cartoonists all over the world worked a mask, shopping cart, steering wheel, microscope, apple, and a fork into their June 7th strips as a big thank you to everyone who has worked so hard and gone above and beyond during this terrible pandemic. Enjoy searching your Sunday comics for these hidden symbols today!
I was one of the cartoonists who had already drawn my art for June 7th… but luckily as fate would have it, there was a perfect spot to sneak them in?
Thank you so, so much to medical workers & caregivers, delivery folks bringing our mail, supplies, and other items (Pucky believes in Mailmen! And in the People-world, we believe in Mail Carriers and thank you! ), grocery workers, teachers, farmers & food service folks who have kept so many fed, and medical researchers—may a vaccine be found soon! Thank you to all of you!"

Lupinium: Hey, Elvis-Anum, whatcha writing?
Elvis-Anum: I am writing a papyrus on the extraordinary cats I have known.
Lupinium: Ooh, let me see! Here’s Tabith-Isis, top tabby it is true. Let’s see what you have for the E’s.
Elvis-Anum: I haven’t quite completed the verse yet.
Lupinium: Excellent, extraordinary, eloquent, I wonder who you’re writing about there.

Pucky-pie, not to be confused with Pukka pies. They are advertised at many of the EPL/BPL stadiums in England. They are a meat pie, and very popular.
