We use the “pick up” option with Dillons (Kroger chain) and Walmart – submit the list, schedule the time and pick it up. The fresh veggies and fruits are quality selection which pleased us – the milk has a use by date that is a couple of weeks out. No wandering the isles looking for something they recently moved and no waiting for a check out station to open up – takes about 5 minutes from arrive to depart…
My husband and I left a grocery store yesterday that has designated ‘enter only, exit only’ doors. As we were leaving via the exit door, a lady wearing a mask and gloves and walking with a cane started walking into the store via the exit door. We tried telling her that the door was designated as an exit and she replied that she had to enter the store by whatever way was closest for her. (Her husband went around to the other door designated as the entrance.) There were plenty of parking spaces closer to the entrance where they could have parked their car.
We didn’t argue with her; we just smiled and continued walking to the parking lot with our purchases. Very few people inside the store followed the arrows on the floor for social distancing purposes as well, though I will say that blue-on-grey is not particularly easy to see. Neon pink would’ve been better. :)
Our Illinois Governor signed a mask order. Ok, but he told us, “I’m tired of negotiating with you people.” Several months later, he floated an amendment for higher taxes. Guess who didn’t negotiate that time? Somehow, it’s easier to wear a safety mask when you’re smiling underneath it.

Better than going to your grandmother’s funeral.

The masks DO make it difficult to try those free samples that some store like to put put (if they still do).

Really should only be having one person go do the shopping. This reduces crowding in the stores and that helps with maintaining social distancing.

Actually, it’s occurred to me for several weeks that the presence of face masks would make for a perfect situation for a robbery.

Don’t you feel like a criminal going to the bank to take out money…wearing a mask?

It was worse before I had a real mask, and all I had was a bandanna.

Well, at least they allow you to shop. Sometimes if you’re not pasty enough, you get escorted out :-D

This whole thing is so Surreal, like “Twilight Zone” or some other Sci-Fi. Roy probably likes this.
