Now I’m beginning to wonder if she is a real life movie icon or if she fabricated a good elaborate ruse ?

Could it be that Fortuna Dyer is actually a descendant of the original Breathless Mahoney?

You know this is gonna be one serious plan if she’s got it broken down into phases.

bail? he’s not local so he has no times to tracytown, making him a flight risk, attempted murder, resisting arrest, black mail, fugitive flight, resisting arrest, threatening. what loon granted bail?

Bingo! Now we know part of what Fortuna is up to!

To be sure, we don’t yet know why. Could she in fact be a blood relative, either of the original Breathless or of Shaky, whose bond (bail) I presume she has made, through her agent George? We also know that her plan has been worked out in advance, as she calls for Phase Two. And, last but not least, note that George addresses her as Breathless, not Fortuna. (The original Breathless is dead, and should stay so!)

The plot sickens…

Certainly the real Breathless was a liar, con woman, thief, and murderer. But, everything she did was motivated by her greed which was the theme of the entire original story. Breathless and her mother were greedy, BO was greedy, Itchy was greedy, Mrs. BB Eyes was greedy, and greed brought them all down—all for $50,000.

This Fortuna may be greedy but seems more conniving but we have no idea of her true motivation even though this tale is a few weeks old.

1-FORTUNE: Cancel that bellhop I ordered. I took care of the, umm, problem, myself.

2-From penthouse to prison in the blink of an eye! Fine – “jail” if you insist but there goes the alliteration

3-GUARD: Get up Shaky – you’re movin’. We got a winner in the “Get Shaky As A Roommate” drawing. Seems that everybody loves how neat and tidy you are AND how you make the bunk vibrate so soothingly all night long!

Bail? I thought he was in prison, not jail. You don’t bail out of prison.
