We have such great volunteers here – the fire department and the EMT’s. It’s great having such dedicated people even when we are not under a pandemic.

Today is:

Mother’s Day. Too bad our weather is going to stink. They keep saying that “s” word, but say it will be mixed with rain and we won’t see accumulation of while stuff.

National Clean Up Your Room Day. I work today and by the time I get home, I’ll be too tired to do any cleaning.

National Shrimp Day. When I was a kid I was a shrimp! Yes, I know that’s not what they mean.

National Washington Day

If that is our Lily, I’m not sure I’d want her to respond!

But yes, our first responders are unsung heroes in my book!

@Dennis, I’ll make you a couple of Hawaiian masks, email me. Kat is inundated with orders, but there is some Hawaiian fabric left.

The Director of our community association has been getting emails cussing her out and even threatening her, because they can’t open the pool, or activity rooms yet.

They claim that because they pay dues, they own the place! One guy said he never stops for stop signs cause the road belongs to him, he paid for it. It belongs to the State of Nevada dummies! Sheesh!

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms, catmoms, & momcats out there!

Two of my brothers and myself have arranged permission with my aunt’s personal care home to go stand 6 feet back outside her window and visit. She was married to my mom’s oldest brother who fought for Patton in Europe. She is 87 and sharp as a tack. Everyone at her place tested negative for Covid-19 but all such facilities are on lockdown. So we will stand outside her room and hopefully her Nurse Ratchet will open a window for her. It will be in the mid 60’s.

Happy Mother’s Day to all! We have many VOLUNTEER search and rescue personnel in our mountain communities who have been called out to rescue ice and rock climbers recently. Sigh, we have been asked to recreate safely and not participate in high risk activities at the moment. But there are always those who think they are the oh so special exceptions…
