It is a Monday after all, give Pig some slack……. Even in this new reality where many work form home or are on furlough Mondays are a hated day by some (and I know the Boomtown Rats song “I don’t like Mondays” was written in response to a mass shooting in the ‘70s) so give me Morrissey’s “Everyday is Like Sunday” (or Natalie Merchant’s cover)instead though its meaning is supposed to be negative as he prays for Armageddon but I will take the boring sleepy seaside town, like the ones in FL used to be like before the condos and high rises came (as well as COVID-19 and rising sea levels)…..
This one is funny. (I would like to on this day to recall Pastis’s Memorial Day Sunday comic from early in the strip’s run. Pig went to the Vietnam Memorial in D.C. while Rat thought he went to the beach that weekend. Pastis said it was one of his best received strips, and it may just have been his strip of all time. A blessed Memorial Day to all those who have served our nation and their families.)

Nothing odd about this; a lot of people are covered with lines when they first wake up.

I wonder if Pastis really does work out ideas for his strip on yellow legal pads.

Clever when the cartoonist can excuse his laziness as the joke.
